Do I need to bring a paper copy of my forms to the clinic?
If you have completed our digital intake forms prior to your visit, there is no need to bring anything printed. Your Doctor of Physical Therapy will have already reviewed your information and will be ready to begin your evaluation as soon as you arrive.
What happens if my insurance does not cover a specific service?
We are committed to full transparency around costs. Before beginning any treatment or testing protocol that may carry out-of-pocket responsibility, we discuss it with you directly. Our team will work with you to identify effective alternatives that keep your care on track without unexpected financial burden.
How soon can I start physical therapy after a referral?
Through direct access, many people are able to begin their evaluation almost immediately. We prioritize getting you in front of a Doctor of Physical Therapy quickly so you can start addressing your symptoms and building your recovery plan before movement compensations have a chance to take hold.
What if I do not have insurance?
We believe everyone deserves access to quality care. If you do not have insurance, we offer self-pay options. Contact our clinic to learn more about pricing and available payment options.
Will my insurance cover physical therapy?
Most insurance plans provide some level of coverage for physical therapy, although benefits vary. Our team can help verify your insurance coverage and explain any expected out-of-pocket costs before you begin treatment.
What if my pain increases after treatment?
It’s normal to experience some temporary soreness after treatment or when beginning new exercises. If your pain is severe or lasts longer than expected, contact our office so we can notify your treating therapist and adjustment or recommendations can be made.
Can I continue exercising while I’m in physical therapy?
In many cases, yes. Your therapist will let you know which activities are safe to continue and which should be modified while you’re recovering.
Will I receive exercises to do at home?
Yes in most cases. Your therapist will provide a personalized home exercise program to reinforce your treatment and help you continue making progress between appointments.
Do I need imaging before starting physical therapy?
No, not necessarily. Many conditions can be evaluated without X-rays or an MRI. If additional imaging is needed, your therapist will discuss the appropriate next steps.
Can physical therapy help with chronic pain?
Yes. Physical therapy can help manage chronic pain by addressing its underlying causes, improving strength and mobility, and teaching strategies to help you move with greater confidence and less pain.
How long will it take before I start feeling better?
Recovery varies from person to person. Some patients notice improvement within a few visits, while others require a longer course of care. Your therapist will discuss realistic expectations and monitor your progress throughout treatment.
Will physical therapy hurt?
Some exercises or treatments may cause mild soreness, especially when recovering from an injury or surgery, but therapy should not be excessively painful. Your therapist will work within your comfort level and adjust your treatment as needed.
Will I always see the same physical therapist?
This is our first option and what we strive for. We believe continuity of care leads to better outcomes, so we strive to have you work with the same therapist throughout your treatment.
